GLB Hearing, LLC takes pride in the ability to provide comprehensive audiological evaluations for all ages. We are excited to be the only practice in the greater Midland area to offer full diagnostic testing for the pediatric population!
As a small, privately owned hearing healthcare practice, we hold true to our mission of supporting the community in a very valuable way. Through a whole-person, patient-centered care approach, our audiologist and staff provide direct and interdisciplinary care based on diagnosis and patient need. Our mission is to assist those with known or suspected hearing loss to regain full quality of life and to never miss another sound!
Through a thorough diagnostic hearing evaluation, our audiologist asses the integrity of the entire hearing mechanism. We offer various levels of hearing aid options and OTC products from top manufactures, such as Resound, Phonak and Oticon. Options are chosen unique to patient need and lifestyle.
As a Cochlear Provider Network clinic, we work closely with Cochlear Americas, the number one leading cochlear implant manufacturer in the nation. Backed by a strong reliability rating and patient success rate, there are many options for patients who qualify and are interested in an implantable hearing device. Additional services include typical hearing aid clean and checks, hearing aid trouble shooting and cerumen removal.

Meet our Audiologist

Whitney N. Jacks
AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA
Whitney comes from Birmingham, AL to join the Great Lakes Bay Hearing team. She is licensed by the state of Michigan and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Whitney is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a recent member of the Michigan Audiology Coalition.
Whitney earned her Doctor of Audiology from Samford University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science Disorders from Auburn University Montgomery. Her clinical experiences range from private practice to the hospital/ENT setting. She completed her Clinical Fellowship with Children’s Hospital of Detroit, followed by an extended clinical rotation with Valleydale Hearing and Balance in Birmingham, AL. Whitney provides comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations and treatment for all ages, with a special interest and experience in implantable hearing devices. Prior to receiving her AuD, Whitney was a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with the Alabama public school system for five years where she worked with a wide range of ages and developmental needs.
Whitney believes in providing whole-person, patient-centered hearing healthcare. Whitney’s passion and inspiration to pursue a career in audiology has been longstanding since she was in the 6th grade. As the sibling of a bilateral cochlear implant user, she understands, first hand, the challenges those with hearing loss face on a daily basis. The personal journey with her brother’s profound, congenital hearing loss fuels her desire to bring awareness to early identification of hearing loss in order to provide perspective in how hearing loss is treated and understood. She is excited to join Great Lakes Bay Hearing where she can bring her clinical skills, expertise and passion to serve the greater Midland, MI area.
During her free-time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cycling, playing tennis and is always in search of the best coffee and cinnamon rolls.
